Take a big passion for writing, add editorial expertise, and mix in
international experience…
…and you’ll get Daniel Christoph Scharnagl, writer, editor, and communications specialist from southern Germany. My passion for storytelling began early. As a student, I wrote dramatic novels, Star Trek scripts,
and poetry collections. During high school, I started freelancing for local newspapers and got my first taste of radio and TV work. After graduation, I joined major publishing houses such as Süddeutscher Verlag and Gruner+Jahr, where
I learned the craft of professional writing and editing.
In 2015, I moved to South Africa with my family. While there, I continued to write as a freelance journalist, author, and editor — telling
stories from another world for six years. After returning to Germany, I joined the global communications department at the world-renowned film company ARRI.
Today, I combine my editorial expertise, creative curiosity, and cross-cultural experience to craft authentic narratives that connect people, brands, and ideas.
